Meet Technogym’s “Train at home” workouts protagonists

We are in unprecedented times. These days, it’s more important for us to move our bodies than ever, despite not being able to spend a lot of time outside.  In this period of lockdown, we are even more focused on our at-home lifestyle: how we organize our living space, what we eat and how we workout, sometimes without a proper guide.

The good news is that Technogym, among the different home wellness solutions for home training, has launched a social media program on its Instagram channel to motivate people to train at home. Every week Technogym streams new and engaging home workouts designed by professional trainers from all over the world.
We enlisted some of the best trainers and talent in the fitness industry – including David Kirsch, the fitness curator at the Core Club in New York (and soon in Milan) - to help motivate you to move on your own in the comfort of your own home.

Cue our Train at Home with Technogym project, a series of videos created with your best self in mind. The goal? To encourage you to break a sweat with intention, and do it safely with expert guidance.

Meet David Kirsch

Location: New York
Typically trains: At Core Club
Time in the fitness industry: 30 years
Favorite piece of Technogym equipment:
“I love the kettlebells. They’re beautiful and easy to grip. I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on a Skillbike.”
We asked him to tell us something about Technogym, then: “So I love things that happen organically. I’ve always been a huge fan and admirer of the Technogym brand, their ethos, their philosophy, the quality of the equipment, the functionality - all of that. Second to none. I’ve been at Core Club for a number of years, I run the fitness and wellness space, I curate programs for it, so it seemed to be a partnership made in the heavens. Technogym and I are both all about fitness and wellness. Our bands compliment one another.”

Training Philosophy
Everything we do from the moment we open our eyes in the morning to what we eat, how we move our bodies, and how we deal with stress and external situations — it’s very important that mindfulness is really key. So, my training is highly specialized and focused on that. My goal is to empower and educate people everywhere, whether it’s in-person or online, to get a better understanding of their body and what they need to do for optimal change and benefits of exercise.
What you can expect from his sessions
No gym, no excuse, no problem. With Kirsch, you can get a great workout in 10 minutes or less.
“Quick workouts take away the no. 1 excuse I hear from clients, I don’t have time. Everyone has time, especially now, to move in this way."
Words of encouragement to anyone feeling unmotivated
Not everyone is going to be on their A-game 100 percent of the time, and that’s OK. We’re in this together, and it starts with small actions that lead to big change.

Meet Allegra Paris

Location: New York
Typically trains: Private clients at home
Time in the fitness industry: Almost 3 years
Favorite piece of Technogym equipment:
The wellness rack. “It’s absolutely stunning.”

Training Philosophy
I want to encourage my clients to feel strong. We’re not doing all high intensity all of the time. You’ll see me mix barre-inspired movements with dynamic actions, like burpees or high knees."
What you can expect from her sessions
A good warm-up to kick things off, the foundation for getting the body to move better and stave off injury. Then, both upper and lower body circuits, followed by an intense burst of compound movements. “I want people to feel confident after we work out together, and build a mental library of bodyweight movements so that they know how to move properly from head to toe.”
Words of encouragement to anyone feeling unmotivated
Make sure that you build time for movement into your day to day schedule. Whether it’s a session with me, yoga, or something else that you enjoy, set aside a block of time. You’ll never regret prioritizing yourself and your wellbeing.”

Meet Callie Gullickson

Location: New York, New York
Typically trains: Rumble (boxing and training) and the Alo Moves app (yoga)
Time in the fitness industry: About 4 years
Favorite piece of Technogym equipment:
Skillmill Treadmill

Training Philosophy
My personality is very quirky and uplifting. I love to add that side of me to my teaching style. I’m always encouraging my clients to push themselves; expect a 360-degree  approach to my workouts combining strength, conditioning, and high intensity interval training.”
What you can expect from her sessions
Be ready for a premium experience, just like if you were training in-person one-on-one.
I home in on form and bring the intensity all while having some fun! You’ll walk out of a session with your head a little higher, feeling empowered, strong, and ready to take on anything thrown at you.”
Words of encouragement to anyone feeling unmotivated
Don’t think about it just do it! We sometimes convince ourselves we can’t do something when in reality it’s just in reach. We just need to break past our mental barrier to reach our fullest potential.”
